The rock group are hot property right now and performed at Electric Picnic at the weekend.

But the Swords band have been lined up by Abbey Gray (5) to help in a fundraising drive for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

They will play at a Mad Hatter-themed tea party in Kettles’ Country House Hotel in their hometown on September 29.

Little Abbey has undergone three open-heart surgeries in her short life and is the niece of Kodaline drummer Vinny May.

Vinny’s sister, Jacqui, said the band were excited to play at the event as Uncle Vinny knew how the hospital had helped Abbey.

“Vinny and the boys from Kodaline were only too happy to jump at the chance to help Abbey raise money for Crumlin as Vinny knows first-hand what the hospital and the staff have done. He is very grateful to them.”

The event will be much more than just a performance by headliners Kodaline as Eurovision star Ryan Dolan also makes an appearance at this family affair.

The ‘Only Love Survives’ singer will perform his Euro hit as well as other songs from his 2013 album to help Abbey raise funds for the hospital.

The Mad Hatters’ tea party will also play host to dance groups Dynamic Dance and Stage One.

The Lyons’ group is sponsoring the event and providing face-painters, bouncing castles and prizes for the ‘Maddest Hatters’ throughout the day.

Colin Kettle, owner of Kettles’ Country House Hotel, graciously donated the event space in an effort to contribute to such a good cause, and even allowed for a bouncing castle to be set up in the grounds around the hotel.

The fundraising tea party takes place in Kettles’ Country House Hotel from 2pm to 6pm on September 29.  Tickets for the party are available from the hotel at 01-8138511.
